With more than 18 years of experience
in the direct marketing industry as a copywriter and creative
director, Bob’s work has been recognized with over two dozen awards,
including Best of Show honors at the New England Direct Marketing
Association (NEDMA) Shoestring awards ceremony.
Prior to joining the firm, Bob served as Director of Creative
Services at Digital Goods, a digital content marketing company. He
has also run his own business, Cargill Creative, in addition to
holding creative positions at Sullivan Creative, CPS Direct,
Jordan-Savage Direct, Warner Bros. Publications and RCA Direct
Marketing.
Bob is a frequent speaker at seminars, schools and industry
events -- and has been quoted or published on the subject of direct
marketing and copywriting in the Boston Business Journal, the
Boston Globe, Circulation Management, DIRECT,
Folio, DM News, the MetroWest Daily News, the
Providence Journal, Writing That Works and other
publications. He is currently an instructor of the "Principles of
Copywriting, From Direct Mail to Email" for the Bentley College
Information Age Marketing program.
Bob is a Past President of the New England Direct Marketing
Association ('99 -- '00), a Past President of two Toastmasters clubs
and a graduate of the MetroWest Leadership Academy. He received his
B.A., cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, in
communication studies and English. He earned his M.S. in television
from Brooklyn College in New York. He resides with his wife and four
children in Sudbury, Massachusetts.
